Baiyun Airport Coco Hotel

The location worked well for a transit stay, conference, or trade fair, though it’s worth checking whether it fits your plans if you’ll be going to the city centre. I was impressed by the service and facilities. I didn’t stay overnight because of my flight schedule, so I can’t say what the nighttime environment is like. After our long flight, we were grateful to get into our room early, at 9am. The receptionist was very helpful and arranged a free shuttle to and from the airport. On arrival, just ask the airport ground staff about it. The room was spacious and spotless, with a big comfortable mattress, quality duvet and linens, and four soft pillows. The decor was simple but had modern colors and current furnishings, with what we needed for a restful short stay. Breakfast was a nice surprise. For under US$3, there was a good range of food of solid quality, and the café staff were very friendly. Speaking the same language helped.

For transit, this is the best hotel around: good room, breakfast, hospitality, and a free hotel coach. There are lots of hotels in this big area, but Coco is the one. Plenty of local food nearby, and a supermarket close too. A taxi from the airport costs 60 Rnb.

There’s a balcony and even a park with swings. Downstairs you’ll also find a 7-11 and McDonald's. Breakfast is a good simple start, with eggs, noodles, bread, juice, tea, and coffee. Our room was clean and spacious, with a kettle, tea, coffee, hairdryer, and slippers. For the airport transfer, we added them on wechat and messaged from the airport. It was arranged in 15 minutes. The hotel is about 10-15 mins from the airport, and the free transfers are useful for a quick stopover.
