The hotel is inside the convention centre, so you can get there by walking through the building. It’s a great option if you’re visiting the centre, and although it’s a little far from the city, it’s closer to the airport. I stayed five nights in July 2024. The staff were helpful and cleaned the room every day. Laundry was good, though a bit expensive. Breakfast was nice, with plenty of vegetarian choices.

The mountains look nice, and the gym and pool are modest but adequate. The venue is also expansive, clean, and comfortable, though there isn’t much around it. Food choices are very limited, and despite being called an international convention center, there’s little support for international guests. During our five-day visit, no staff member could help us in English or get an interpretation service, and there was no accommodation for international payments or food preferences.

We had a great time during a 12-hour layover in Guangzhou. Air Southern China shuttled us to the hotel, where we were allowed to stay for free. The hotel was huge and really nice. The staff all spoke native Chinese, but did their best with English speakers. The concierge helped us figure out where to go and handled taxis. Since taxis in China can be picky about which trips they take, the concierge even yelled at some drivers in our party’s defense when they were rude and showed poor hospitality. The restaurant was delicious, with authentic Chinese food served in the comfort of the hotel.

The food and service were outstanding, and I can’t wait to come back next year! We stayed as international guests for The Dragon Boating Festival, and I was impressed by how many teams the place could accommodate at once. *Winning awards with Pacifica Dragons 🧡🖤
