ECHIC Hotel (Guangzhou Zhengjia Plaza Tiyuxilu Subway Station)

Right in the middle of everything.

The location worked really well, about a five-minute walk from tiyu xilu station, with the FESTIVE WALK underpass making most of the walk covered. There are loads of malls nearby, plus Ang supermarket. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, though there was a faint tobacco smell that I didn't mind much. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. The air-conditioning was blasting the whole time, and it felt like winter in the room, minus the snow. Extra drinking water was available, but I had to pick it up in the lobby. The food was better than at the other hotel I stayed at nearby. It was typical Chinese food, I think, and the dishes changed, so it wasn't the same every day.

It's handy for business, with the mall and subway close by, and that busy area is what makes the price high. The room is clean, though on the small side. Service was okay, and breakfast was up to the hotel's standards.

The hotel is quiet, but the room had water stains on the walls and floor, and the facilities feel old. It's very convenient for shopping and meals, with many malls and restaurants nearby. The Guangzhou Book Center is across the road on Tianhe Road, and Tiyuxi Road subway station is close too.
