Fangyuan Apartment Hotel - Guangzhou

They gave our daughter thoughtful attention, with help and advice delivered with a level of care we rarely come across. The team were remarkably kind and exceeded what we expected. We’d recommend this place to anyone who values comfort, cleanliness, and a warm welcome.

Timmy, the Manager, even helped me get to the hospital when I had a leg infection. I saw a doctor, had blood tests and skin tests for a possible allergic reaction to penicillin, and was put on a drip three times. The total cost was about US $30. The service and friendliness from Timmy and the staff were great. I stayed during the October 2023 Canton Fair. The hotel was good value, with decent breakfasts and clean rooms, and it wasn’t far from the fair. There were also several decent Western food options within a 10-minute walk. I rate China highly for its service and friendliness.

I spent 11 nights in a spacious deluxe apartment room and would stay here again on future trips to Guangzhou. For the price, it’s a great Canton Fair option, with attentive staff and a convenient location. Metro lines 3 and 8 are nearby, making it easy to get to the airport and the fair, and there are plenty of restaurants and malls across the main road. This isn’t a five-star hotel, but it’s good value for its location. Most of the front desk staff speak little English. The manager, Timmy, is amazing and very helpful, and messaging him on WeChat was extremely useful.
