The elevators were the main problem for me. Just 3 of the 6 were running for guests across more than 30 floors, and once I waited 20 minutes. On the plus side, it's good value and close to the popular Beijing street and metro. The Pearl river pier is also under a 5-minute walk away. The rooms are spacious, laid out like studio apartments. They're a little dated, but still functional.

I've stayed at this apartment for 6-7 years when visiting Guangzhou. Its name changed to Nomo Apartment around 2-3 years ago. Some rooms have been redone, but apparently not all. When I checked in during 2016, I was shocked by the stink and cockroaches all over the floor. I came back in December 2017 because it was close to my supplier. The bathroom light didn't work, and it took them 2 days to fix it. The reception staff were unfriendly, the corridors were dim, and the place smelled bad.

The location is the one real plus, right near the metro and public areas. The room was kind of a nightmare, haha. It felt like the building might have been put up before WWII, and everything was old and starting to rot. If you're a clean freak, avoid it. If cleanliness doesn't matter much to you, it may be fine.

The room was okay, though the lobby and corridors could use renovation. Beijing Lu Metro Station is right in the next building, and the pedestrian area is under a 5-minute walk. There's KFC and McDonald's nearby too. If Chinese food works for you, the location is ideal.

The building's location makes it popular, but the common corridor is poorly maintained. Different groups run the apartment hotel in the same building, so the standards vary.
