The general atmosphere feels safe and pleasant, which makes this a good option for an airport-area stay. There's a free shuttle to the airport, and KFC is downstairs. They include evening snacks and late-night noodles along with breakfast. I also liked that they leave bottles of water in front of the elevator. At the front desk, Jessica and Lucy were both very helpful. Lucy in particular understood English well, which was great.

The room had everything we needed and felt modern and clean. They even provided pyjamas, slippers, and different phone chargers, which we especially appreciated after a long flight from the UK. Though we only stayed one night, we were happy with our choice and would come back on another trip to Guangzhou. We were in Guangzhou for the first time with our 4-month-old baby during a long connection, so we wanted somewhere near the airport. This hotel is about 10-15 minutes away and has a free shuttle. After landing, we just called and they promptly sent a bus to pick us up. The staff were approachable and tried their best to help, despite the language barrier. Complimentary drinks and noodles at 10pm were a lovely treat before our early flight the next day.

I was asked by the front desk to cancel after booking because they said they'd made a pricing mistake. I didn't agree, but the next day they canceled my reservation without telling me. It felt like they cared more about getting back that small amount of money than keeping customers happy. Worst customer experience I've had.
