At 2 AM, we found nine bedbugs on the bed, so my family and I left and checked into a nearby golf hotel. That came after a night of trying to get the Guangzhou Atlanta Family Hotel to take the problem seriously. We had checked in around 2 PM on August 8, 2018, with two adults and two children, then went sightseeing and came back to rest. Around 11 PM my shoulders near my neck started itching badly. I turned on the light and saw a bedbug crawling on the bed. I caught it and asked the front desk to send someone to inspect the room. About half an hour later, a substitute manager arrived and called the housekeeping manager, who said bedbugs were normal in damp weather. Neither manager seemed concerned or gave me a straight answer. I called Dashi Police Station, and officers came, investigated, took notes, and advised me to negotiate with the hotel. At 1 AM I went to a nearby emergency room and got allergy medicine from a doctor. The hotel still ignored my concerns. I checked out of the Guangzhou Atlanta Family Hotel at 10 AM and spoke with the room manager, who said he would compensate me and added me on WeChat. I asked him to resolve it by noon, but he kept dodging the question. He also refused to give me the hotel owner's phone number. It's been half a month, and the Guangzhou Atlanta Family Hotel still hasn't contacted me or offered any compensation. This hotel clearly doesn't care about its customers. This is what family hotels are like!
