Guangzhou Duancheng Hotel

I booked this hotel because my flight home was from Guangzhou, and Ramadan had started, so I wanted to stay near the halal restaurants I often visit, since halal food is hard to find in China. The area and the bidet shower in the toilet were the only real advantages. From the start, nobody helped with my luggage, and there was no phone to call reception. The room felt very low-budget, was tiny with hardly any space to move, and the service was very bad. I’ve stayed at many hotels in China, but this was my first time here and one of my worst experiences. I wouldn’t recommend this kind of hotel.

The rooms were clean, and the location works well for Muslim restaurants. The bathroom's glass wall is annoying, though. If you turn on the light in there, it lights up the room, which can disturb your partner if they're asleep.

It's a nice hotel, though it doesn't look like the price is justified. A single room costs 270 RMB, and I stayed for one night.
