The room was quiet and cleaned daily. Breakfast had a well-planned selection, with vegetarian food, meat, and Chinese desserts. The staff across reception, the restaurant, and cleaning were friendly and helpful, despite speaking very limited English. The hotel is only meters from the Pearl Rver, with 24-hour supermarkets right next door, plus bars, clubs, and lots of restaurants nearby. Beijing road is a five-minute walk. The route to the hotel restaurant looked a bit like it was being renovated and could be designed better. Western visitors should know that regulations in China mean Western internet services and a VPN can't be reached through the hotel WiFi.

The room was huge, with an American-style toilet and bidet, a washing machine, and a large shower. Still, I wouldn't stay again. Some things were falling apart, most of the power plugs were fake, and the curtains smelled so strongly that the smell stayed on my hands. The place had a weird vibe, despite being clean and new. The sea view wasn't really a sea view either, since a massive building blocked it. Look elsewhere if you're staying in the Haizhu Square area.
