I liked the breakfast, and the rooms felt spacious, clean, and cozy. The little handwritten note from room service was a thoughtful touch. There’s also a long list of things you can borrow, like nail clippers, toys, and charging cables. My one issue was a faint cigarette smell in the room from time to time. Smoking may be prohibited, but I saw cigarettes in the elevator ashtrays, so people still seem to smoke indoors.

Breakfast was tasty, though it got busy enough that finding a free table was difficult. The room was practical, with a roomy shower and toilet area, and the bed and pillow were comfortable. Staff paid attention, but didn’t speak much English. The Wi-Fi was pretty dull.

The complimentary 2 pm checkout came in handy, and check-in and the staff were good. There’s plenty of shopping and food nearby, mostly Asian options with a couple of others. You’ll need to take a few steps to cross the road. The breakfast spread covered both Chinese and Western food. The room and bed were comfortable and well appointed, and the windows did a good job blocking road noise, though I kept a fan on for extra background sound. The air conditioning was off for the “winter,” I suppose, and I was still a bit warm. I could take the comforter out of the duvet, which helped; opening the tiny window barely did anything, even with unusually cold weather. Across the street, Mr. Rocky is an American Texas-style bar and restaurant. Skip the “award-winning” steak and you’ll be happy. I’ve attached a couple of hotel photos and one from the room.

The staff were really helpful, and I had a great experience.
