I loved sitting on the concrete ledge by the window, watching cruise boats pass on the river. My room was spacious and clean, with a blossom-themed design, and the river view from the higher floor was lovely. The hotel is fairly new and sits along the Zhu Jiang River, close to the Beijing Road shopping area and lots of street food. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast had plenty of options and was nicely presented. We had a great view of the Pearl River from our room on the 17th floor. Once we finally got checked in, the stay was very enjoyable, thanks in part to Cici at reception and duty manager Charles Chen, who were both fabulous. Booking through WOTIF was the problem.

The vents made a horrible metallic noise all night, so I couldn't sleep and had to use an earplug. The staff couldn't work out what was causing it. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you need to be able to function the next day.

It was a really pleasant hotel. They only had Chinese tea in the room, with no coffee, though I guess that's common in China.
