Huanteng Apartment (Changgang Subway Station)

The room was never cleaned during my two-week stay, and they didn’t change the bed linen even once. The toilet leaked underneath whenever it was flushed. The shower drain was blocked, so I had to clear it myself, and the shower stall was dirty with glass that never got washed. There was no hot water from the tap, and the towels were ripped. The air conditioner wouldn’t work because its filter was completely packed with dirt. Nobody at reception spoke English, so it was impossible to explain anything. Then the building management washed the hallway carpets and left them drying with heat fans for a week. The smell was awful, and the room was stuffy, making sleep impossible. When I raised it, the administrator told me to put a towel under the door. There was only one towel in the room, of course.
