Getting around was easy with Didi, and the nearby shopping centres were convenient. The hotel was wheelchair friendly too. I slept really well, thanks to the firm bed and comfy pillows. This was one of my best stays in Guangzhou. The service was impeccable, especially from Zhou Ting Ting, who went out of her way to find me a smoke-free replacement room because I have a nose allergy. It's a smoke-free property, though one of the rooms I was given smelled of smoke. Changing rooms was no problem thanks to her help. If Ji Hotel sees this, please pass my compliment on to her.

We booked the family suite, which fits four people, and the beds were soft. The room was cleaned daily and had a hair dryer in the bathroom, though there was only one toilet. The TVs were big, and a robot brought food deliveries right to our room. The location is handy for malls and coffee shops, with an Russian Bar and a Family Mart next door. It was also easy to call a Didi. The downsides were that the staff didn't speak English and the rooms and hallways smelled of cigarettes.

The rooms aren't especially big, but they're comfortable, and the service was friendly. Nobody we encountered could speak English, though. The location is good, about a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest big malls. Breakfast could use more variety for Western travellers.

The room wasn't clean, and there was mold on the toilet wall that the hotel staff couldn't do anything about. The toilet was clogged when we checked in on the first day. The aircon kept switching to 26C in the middle of the night.
