Jinxin Business Motel

We left for another hotel because we felt so uncomfortable here. There were no windows in our room, and the cigarette smell was unbearable, even worse than anything I’ve encountered in hotels in China. The place had such a heavy, unsettling feel that it seemed almost haunted, like something strange or unpleasant might have happened there. The rooms were very, very clean, but that didn’t make the smell any easier to tolerate. Worst place I’ve ever stayed.

I’d rate it as a low-cost 3-star hotel with beautiful furniture. There’s no service mindset at all, like in other Chinese-style hotels.

Dennis Fong, the manager, was the most professional and helpful staff member I’ve met in Chinese hotels. The hotel is only two years old, so everything is well maintained, and the rooms are very comfortable. There’s a nice buffet breakfast at a very reasonable price. It’s conveniently located for Pazhou fair complex in a residential area. There aren’t many shops around, but transport links are good. A great choice if you’re going to the fairs.

Comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast, with meeting stations and Canton fair ground nearby. A great place to stay in Guangzhou.
