Paco Hotel Canton Tower Pazhou

I couldn't make it through even one night, though I'd planned to stay a week. I left early after less than 24 hours, and ended up sick for about a week afterward. The air in the room felt unhealthy, with a strong mold smell and dirty, unpleasant air from the AC. The entrance smelled bad too, like mold mixed with cat odor, and the area outside didn't feel clean or comfortable. The online listing was misleading. Its photos make the hotel look clean and modern, but the property didn't match them at all and felt heavily edited. The building also seemed like it may have been something else before it became a hotel. There's a large telecom tower on the roof, directly above the rooms, which was another concern. This was one of my worst hotel stays in China. Poor hygiene, bad air quality, and a misleading listing.

The room was planned out down to the smallest detail, and everything looked clean and new. It's a small hotel, so breakfast only has a limited selection, but it's still a small, wonderful place.
