Qicheng Business Apartment (Longkou West Branch, Gangding metro station, Guangzhou)

I booked a Superior Double room from 07 Apr 2026 to 12 Apr 2026. It's in a handy spot, walking distance from big malls and F&B outlets, and still a good hotel if you're not too fussy. I might try somewhere else nearby on a return visit. The room was spacious and had no bad smell. The lights worked, the king bed and its sheets and pillowcases were clean, and there was an open wardrobe with enough hangers. Bathrobes, soft and hard slippers, a tiny toothpaste tube, toothbrush, shaver, tiny tube of shaving cream and comb were provided. Drinks in the fridge were free. There were two replaceable bottles of mineral water, four replaceable packets of Chinese tea, and a working kettle. The self-controlled AC worked well. The TV worked too, with 100-plus channels, all Chinese except for one English news channel. Bathroom and toilet were separate, clean and working, and the rain shower was the best part. A charging cable was supplied, along with plenty of power points and USB ports. A few things weren't right. The electronic scale didn't work. One window was cracked or damaged and taped up, and my room window was open at check-in, then open again after cleaning on 8 Apr. None of the USB ports could charge my power bank bought at a shopping center, luckily my international charger had USB ports. There was a small stain on the toilet cover on 8 Apr, and stains on the toilet floor when I checked in on 7 Apr. I wiped both away on the night of 11 Apr. The room was cleaned on 8, 10 and 11 Apr, but I don't think the sheets or pillowcases were changed. Breakfast wasn't the best I've had, and the coffee was dull and flat.

For the price, it's one of the better hotels around here. Reception were really helpful and the service was great. They called a big taxi for us and showed us the way to the railway stations.

The room was super comfortable and the staff were very nice. As Indians travelling in China, we loved being close to the main areas and a few other places we needed to reach. There's an Indian restaurant in a nearby mall. Great hotel for visitors, I'd definitely recommend it.

The room was clean and spacious, with a nice interior, and the hotel is in the right spot near the MRT and places to eat. I'd strongly recommend it and would book again when I'm in Guangzhou.
