Paco Hotel Tiyuxilu Metro Guangzhou

The bathroom was a bit small, but otherwise we had a great stay. The hotel is well placed for the metro and food, and having laundry available was a real bonus. Staff service was consistently good during our seven days, and they let us check out at 3 pm because we had an evening appointment.

The Wi-Fi is really bad, but I still like this hotel and plan to come back. Xiao Ling at the lobby was so nice, and housekeeping was lovely too. Maybe the owner should raise Xiao Ling's salary. I’ll tell people in BALI this hotel is good, and I want to return to see the welcoming reception staff at paco hotel. Thank you.

It was easy to explore the city from here, with Tiyu Xilu Metro Station a short walk away, convenience stores and Parc Central nearby, and bikes available to rent outside. There’s also a small craft beer bar right next door where we enjoyed relaxing in the evenings, and its staff were very welcoming. The laundry room has washers, dryers, and ironing equipment, which is handy for a longer stay. We stayed three nights with friends. Our room was clean, with good air conditioning, a soft comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, free Wi-Fi, and a hairdryer, but no fridge. The twin room we had, Room 8312, was the first one down the hall and noticeably narrower and smaller than my friends’ rooms. It really shouldn’t cost the same as theirs. Breakfast on the fourth floor was decent, nothing special. Late check-in was no problem, and although most staff spoke Chinese, they patiently used translation devices to communicate in other languages. The reception area smelled strongly of cigarettes, though thankfully our room didn’t.

The hotel was clean and service was good. There are plenty of places to eat and shop around, and the metro station is very close. Staff communicated well in English with the help of a translation machine.
