6/10
The design has a distinctive retro sci-fi feel, with lots of attention to detail and an interesting use of space. I expected guests who were into the theme, but most seemed to be Russian and Muslim merchants doing export business in the neighborhood. Their behavior, as I experienced it, spoiled the atmosphere and didn't fit the setting.

I liked the hotel's design, cleanliness, and breakfast. What put me off returning was the deposit: they asked for almost 400 CHY and gave me a receipt, then at checkout said I'd already received the money.

I really like this Planet hotel. The design is unusual, the service is good, and breakfast has lots of different food.

Anything I asked for, they didn't have. No baby crib and no iron. Worst hotel I've seen.

Stay away and choose another hotel. This was the worst experience you could have here.
