Pullman Guangzhou Baiyun Airport

Breakfast was a positive surprise, with plenty to choose from and good flavor. The executive lounge is well set up, with food and drinks, a happy hour, and expert service. If you’re in the executive wing, the rooms feel luxurious and are nicely decorated and in very good condition, even if some look dated. The hotel itself is modern and well presented, definitely five star. It works especially well for an overnight stay before an early flight: Terminal 1 is practically within walking distance, while Terminal 2 is about a five-minute shuttle ride in the morning.

Every member of staff I dealt with was rude, with no hospitality at all. I wanted to try five-star service and instead had my most disappointing stay. Even staff at the three-star Ibis were better. Please train the people working here better. At check-in, staff forgot to take payment, and I had to remind them. When I asked to have my luggage weighed before leaving, a staff member said my Chinese was wrong and told me to weigh it myself. I asked someone to bring the luggage downstairs, but nobody came to help. Shouldn't hotel staff assist guests instead of sending them to do it themselves? For an Accor five-star hotel, this kind of service really surprised me.

Breakfast had an amazing range and quality, and the welcoming feeling starts right in the lobby. The airport view was another real plus. A direct tunnel connects to the terminal, which made getting around very convenient. For a future visit, I'd ask for a room on level 3 if available, since that's where the tunnel is. It would save having to take two elevators to reach the room each time.

The staff are nice, but the air conditioning isn't proper. I couldn't sleep all night. They brought a fan to try to fix it, but that didn't help. I won't book here again.
