The river and bridge outside made for a lovely view, though people nearby shouted and set off fireworks at night. With the poor soundproofing, that noise was hard to escape. The area was quiet and there weren't many people around, which felt safer in one way, but it also seemed like help might be hard to find if something went wrong. I was there for one night while returning to my hometown for New Year. The room rate, usually around 1000 RMB a night, was nearly half off. The bed was high, and the clean bedding was comfortable. I liked the simple, upscale decor, large TV, comfortable headboard, adjustable lights, combined heating and cooling air conditioner, and fully automatic curtains. The windows seemed badly designed, though, and people outside were noisy, so I wouldn't recommend opening them. The walls and doors also let sound through, so light sleepers or people who talk loudly may not like it. One important issue: the hotel didn't seem to have hot water or a refrigerator. Even with the temperature above 20 degrees Celsius, showering in room-temperature water was uncomfortable. Maybe the water temperature got a discount too, like the room rate 🤣 Service was average. Usually, problems could be sorted out by calling or contacting the front desk directly. We booked for three people but got only two pillows. When we asked for another, staff said, "If you asked in the morning, you could get one, but other guests have already taken them." It seemed like the hotel didn't put much effort into supplying amenities, which was a shame. I don't know if this comment will be automatically deleted, but you can refer to it if it isn't.
