The room was quiet, and having a key card for access to the room floor felt secure, though the lift was slow in both directions. The hotel is right at Dong Zhan East Railway Station: come out of Door No 3 and you'll see it, with the taxi stand beside it. Food and drink are easy to find, with plenty of choices. Breakfast comes with the room, but there are only 2 restaurant choices beside the hotel. The bathroom and toilet share one door, and it doesn't close properly on the bathroom side. The reception also couldn't help with travel information.

The hotel is a handy transport hub for foreigners, with the metro, public buses, a taxi stand with plenty of taxis at any time, trains, and coaches. There's even a notice board listing Guangzhou's famous attractions and metro directions. I stayed 6 nights. The front desk service was fine, and the daily room cleaning was excellent. The cleaning lady was very thorough and did a great job, so my 5-star service rating is for her.

For the price, the hotel is good enough, and its location at Guangzhou East Station makes it a great choice if you're getting around by train or metro. But as a foreigner, it was hard to find because the address doesn't say the hotel is inside the station. Also, room WiFi isn't free if you don't have a Chinese phone number, which isn't good.

I stayed 5days, 21 Oct - 25 Oct 2024. It's a safe hotel in a good location, with spacious, clean rooms. It's connected to Guangzhou East railway station, the bus station, and a shopping mall, and there are lots of places to eat nearby. There's a mini fridge, USB port, and quite a lot of clothes hangers, about 8, I think. There was no safe box or CNA channel, and room WiFi needs a China number. The toilet and bathroom share one door. The reception was rude, but the security guard and cleaner lady were nice. On the 1st day, I went to the lobby at 7am and only the security guard was there. I told him I didn't need housekeeping but needed mineral water and help with a faulty kettle. He brought them, even though I don't think that was his job. On the 2nd day, I told reception I didn't need housekeeping, but wanted mineral water and toilet paper. She said, "You go find cleaner that floor, we don't have !!" I found the cleaner, and she gave me what I needed and a plastic bag, saying I could leave rubbish at the door and she'd throw it away for me. On the 3rd day, I put up the DnD sign again, and she left tissue and a water bottle at my door without me asking. That was really kind of her.
