My agent had booked the hotel and sent an e-voucher, but the staff couldn't find my name. I ended up waiting an hour at midnight. After my agent booked again, I was asked for a deposit larger than the nightly rate. That makes no sense to me. Was it because I'm a foreigner and wear a hijab? I can't think of another reason. I've stayed at several hotels in China, and never had a deposit higher than the room's nightly rate. This was strange, and I wouldn't recommend this place.

I spent a week here while visiting my daughter. It's a beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean, and the staff are amazing. The area is fairly quiet, but there's still plenty going on.

I was on a business trip around Foshan, Jiangmen, and GZ, and we stayed here twice during that period. The hotel is close to Foshan and Jiangmen, so staying outside the city makes sense with the traffic there being super jammed. Foshan is about an hour away, and Jiangmen is less than an hour. The rooms are new, clean, and in good condition. We first booked deluxe rooms, but the concierge forgot to upgrade mine. Marriott and Sheraton are now in the same group, so Marriott member benefits can be used with Sheraton too. On our second stay, my room was upgraded one more level. Breakfast was okay, like at other luxury hotels, though made-to-order dishes took a little while. We didn't use the executive lounge since we got back late every night.

I was a guest at this luxurious hotel for an entrepreneurial competition on September 5-6, 2019. Once I connected to WiFi, I could use it anywhere on the premises. The experience felt the same as in Hong Kong, and that made a difference for me.
