Stargazing Platform Inn （Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street）

The room was spacious and clean, and the interior is beautifully decorated. I liked the sunny tea space on the 9th floor, a nice spot to rest or chat. There's also a free laundry room and gym on the 2nd floor. It was easy to find from wen cang road. Highly recommended!

Check-in was pleasant, and the staff were helpful, accommodating, patient with Google Translate, and friendly to foreigners. The hotel is right in the old city, with lots to explore on foot, including street food like shau Kai, fried noodles, dessert, shopping, dim sum, Taotaoju, roast goose and seafood restaurants, and Guangzhou restaurants at the corner. Walk to the yongjifang area for even more restaurants and shopping, or to Liwan museum and leeshialoong house. I only wish the breakfast choices changed day to day.

I really enjoyed the stay. The staff were lovely, and the decor brings together old and new. The boutique hotel is well placed in the town centre, though our room was a little small, which is understandable in an old building. There’s plenty of room to stretch out upstairs on the roof.

The room was bigger than the online photos suggested, so I didn't feel cramped, and the staff were really sweet and helpful. The hotel's right in Shangxiajiu, with great local food and shopping just outside. It made my Guangzhou trip easier and more enjoyable.
