The room was small and basic, but had what I needed. It wasn't luxurious, which I wasn't looking for, and it was in a great spot. The street is quite busy and noisy, though the room did a great job blocking the sound. I recommend this place if you want to keep hotel costs down without staying in a hostel. I'm giving it five stars because the service was wonderful. Another hotel had turned me away because I was a foreigner with a visa permit instead of a passport, and they didn't know how to treat it as valid ID. At Guangli hotel, they checked my permit, got the information they needed, and had me checked in within five minutes. It was a wonderful experience.

The room's cleanliness stood out most. The aunty housekeeping service left it spotless, and the cleaning staff were friendly and courteous. This is my usual choice for business trips to Guangzhou: a budget-friendly business hotel with dated facilities but very clean rooms. It's close to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, across the street from Taikang Jewelry City, and a 10-minute walk from Wanling Plaza. I was very impressed and would stay again.
