I spent several days at Tongtong Hotel and enjoyed the stay. The receptionists were welcoming, and the location puts you right in central Guangzhou for business trips. There are lots of black travelers from different African countries around, and it reminded me of Idumota/Mandelas market in Lagos. African food restaurants, markets, and wholesale shops are plentiful nearby. You can reach major markets and other places by bus, taxi, or train, and Sanyuanil subway is about a 9-minute walk away. There are also plenty of cargo services to ship your items. The experience was amazing.

It's always buzzing here, though the area right out front is a mess with street vendors selling food and other things. No thanks.
