Venice Hotel

The location is fairly convenient, near the river, though the area feels a bit sketchy. The hotel itself is extremely dated, and smoke was everywhere, including our room. Guests smoked inside despite the signs, and staff didn't seem to stop them. Ash was scattered around the elevator and corridors, with stains on the floors. Our room's air conditioner was broken, and there was pencil graffiti on the wall. There was no ventilation in the toilet, which smelled awful. The room was poorly ventilated too and seemed like it had been smoked in by everyone who'd stayed there. The repairman said he'd fixed the air conditioner, but he hadn't done anything. Staff were reasonably friendly and helpful, but that's about the only good thing. If smoke doesn't bother you, or you smoke yourself and don't mind a seedy, dated hotel, you might stay here. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.
