We loved our stay. The rooms are a little small, but charming, with a pleasant modern bathroom. The hotel sits in a beautiful park about a 15-minute walk from Guilin's city center, with palm trees, exotic birds, and monkeys jumping between the trees. It felt like a really unique place.

My reservation had been confirmed four months ahead, but it was cancelled just 24 hours before I was due to arrive. I was left without a hotel in the middle of peak season, which caused a major problem. I would have loved to enjoy the place, but this makes me wonder if they were overbooked or had taken my booking to make space for someone else. Be careful when you book.
