Guilin Hostel Convenience Inn

What an awful experience. The room was dirty, and there was a blood spout on a towel that was supposed to be clean. They said they only had a “river view room,” but the view was actually of the front of the hotel, and we had to pay more for it. Nobody at the hotel speaks English. Terrible in every way. If you can, don’t go there, even the nearby hostels offer more services.

The location worked well for us, with restaurants, shops, and tourist sights nearby. They also let me check out late at 2 pm. The room was good, with different grades available, though staff spoke very little English.

It's close to the shopping area, but our room was dirty. The air conditioning was very noisy, and the heater smelled smoky. When I tried to turn on the TV, one of the plugs was broken, so I had to call staff to fix it.

We found a cockroach in the bedroom. The staff were kind and helped us get rid of it, and the rooms themselves were good.
