Guilin Wing Hotel

We were there from 18 June to 20 June, when the worst flood in 30 years hit and the water in the city was at least waist high. Our group of seven included kids and elderly people, and Jenny, the manager, was the most reliable person in getting us to safety. Tour cancellations and refunds were handled promptly. Communication and arrangements in English before, during, and after the trip were excellent. Kudos to the driver for pushing our vans out of a flooded street. We'll definitely rebook.

Jenny made planning everything easy. After we booked, she emailed tour information, and we kept in touch through Whatsapp and Wechat. She arranged the railway pickup, the 2 rivers and 4 lakes cruise, Li river cruise, a visit to Ruyi peak, a drop-off at Yangshuo station, and even a restaurant for my daughter's birthday. It all went smoothly, at the same price as booking on our own, and without the hassle. I recommend Jenny's help for a trouble-free trip around Guilin and its surroundings, and sincerely thank her for her kindness and organization. There are 2 or 3 Wing hotels in Guilin; we chose this one in the center of the pedestrian area. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the major sights, and the rooms are comfortable with kind staff. The breakfast was very disappointing and needs improvement, which is why I took off one star.

The hotel is amazingly connected to local shops and eateries, and the location is superb. Highly recommended.
