Ji Yun Resort (Yangshuo Ten-mile Gallery Yulong River)

We only stopped by for coffee at the hotel’s “cloud coffee” cafe and really enjoyed it. We didn’t stay overnight.

Coming to a Chinese resort for the first time had me a little nervous, but the JiYun team made it all feel easy, even helping with communication before we arrived. They offered rain gear when we needed it and gave us useful pointers on where to go. The care started before check-in: they knew it was my birthday and surprised us with a cake, an extra gift, and a hand drawn card. It meant a lot. The location gave us beautiful views and easy access to the village. After long days exploring, we really looked forward to the warm evening meal. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We slept very well after our time in the countryside, and felt looked after throughout the stay. Everyone we met was kind and welcoming, including the morning security team. The front desk was on top of things, and the concierge on WeChat was especially helpful. They answered quickly and clearly, even when our questions were small, which made things stress free for us as English speakers. We had an early departure and missed breakfast, but the team prepared a breakfast to go and helped arrange transportation so the morning went smoothly. We didn’t have time to try the resort experiences, but the stay was still special. It made us fall in love with the region, and we’d absolutely return. Thank you to everyone at JiYun for such a thoughtful visit.

We honestly wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is exceptionally high quality, and the team and staff deserve thanks for all their hard work and thoughtful service.
