Longsheng Golden Dragon Country Villa

The views from the terrace were a highlight, especially early in the morning and at sunset. This hostel sits high above the rice terraces, so getting there takes more walking than it would at places lower down, but those spots get a lot more tourists. The owners were incredibly warm and thoughtful, paid close attention to what we needed, and shared a very enjoyable meal with us. Luckily, a friend was there to translate. The inn is quite old, and the rooms feel dated, with walls that don't block much noise, so bring earplugs. I still found the bed comfortable, and to me that rustic feel is part of the charm. It became one of my favorite memories from my trip to China. I'd happily go back.
