The balcony was the highlight for me. I had coffee there each morning while looking at the green mountains in the distance, so peaceful. The room was spotlessly clean, with a cozy, minimalist style that suited the natural surroundings. The bed was very comfortable after long days of hiking or biking, and it had the essential modern amenities, including fast Wi-Fi and a well-equipped bathroom with nice toiletries. My recent trip to Yangshuo was even more memorable thanks to Yangshuo Ruoli Hotel, a calm retreat among the area’s stunning karst mountains.

The view is very good, and they rent bikes for 40 rmb. The place seems suited to young couples, since the rooms aren’t a good fit for sharing with someone you’re not close to. The staff don’t speak English at all, though they can translate with an app. Breakfast was the worst part. They only offer one substantial item, rice noodles in pork broth, with nothing else available. We eat halal, so we couldn’t have any, and they don’t even offer coffee.

We nearly missed our flight because reception gave us the wrong travel time. The hotel also hadn’t warned us about the water outage, so there was no time to find another place. We were put in a room without the things we’d asked for. We didn’t get what we booked. I’d avoid this place.

The breakfast noodle soup was my favorite part, especially the delicious bowl served by the auntie in the kitchen. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful design, and the receptionist did a great job making sure we were comfortable and helping us throughout our stay at Lutong Hotel. We had a wonderful time.

We had a wide-open river view, and the room was clean. Renting a tram in town was easy too. If you want scenery, this place is worth considering.
