The rooms were good, and the valley and river views were a big part of why we picked this place. We wanted somewhere outside town so we could sleep without night noise, but getting back one night by tuk-tuk turned into a problem. Its engine couldn't manage the steep hill, so we had to walk up. The food is very basic and I wouldn't recommend it, and the WiFi was nonexistent. If we're back in Yangshuo, we won't stay at this hotel again.

We stayed here on our honeymoon eight years ago, and it was such a lovely experience that my wife and I promised to return in another 20 years. I hope it still has the same old charm then.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the hotel sits in a beautiful natural setting. There was a so-called private garbage dump behind it, though. We also had noisy rooms, with animals moving around in the false ceiling at night.
