Yangshuo Mountain Nest Boutique Hotel

The staff are so friendly and happy to help arrange rides, with different options for getting around. Everything was clean and nicely decorated, and there are meals available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food was delicious, and my husband and I were very happy. They really make you feel at home.

The rooftop terrace has breathtaking views, and the restaurant food is amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and we got thoroughly spoiled. We also learned to make dumplings for free, since they do that for guests every afternoon, and joined a tea ceremony. Nothing to complain about, a perfect 10. For Yangshuo, this is my top recommendation. Borrow the hotel bikes and explore along the river. Avoid the city hotels.

I came away feeling I’d really got to know Yangshuo, and the owners helped me make the most of my time there. They cooked for me, arranged attractions, and shared suggestions about what to see and eat. The hotel is a short ride from Yangshuo’s busy center, and about a 20-minute walk from a lovely promenade beside Yulong River. You can see the Karst landscape from the room or rooftop terrace. My room was spacious, quiet, and clean, with comfortable beds. I loved every bit of my stay.

The view is gradually being blocked by nearby buildings, though that’s not the hotel’s fault. Otherwise, the staff were sincerely caring and went well out of their way for us. They got last-minute tickets, lent us mountain bikes, even ran after us with free raincoats, and served excellent food. It felt like making friends with the staff, not dealing with a process-driven chain. They gave us a useful map and arranged tickets for the main attractions, including bamboo rafting on the river, cycling, and the famous Yangshuo Impression Sangjie Liu. Good for backpackers who want advice and can arrange things themselves, or families who’d rather have the staff take care of it all. We visited in March after seeing the high ratings on tripadvisor.
