I could happily spend the whole day here. The interior is cozy, comfortable, and modern, and I was lucky to get a corner room with huge windows on both sides. The view and hospitality blew me away. Everything in the fridge was free to use, and they gave me a farewell gift when I left. The amenities were great too, including a Dyson hair dryer and a projector that could pass for a high-definition TV. Breakfast was delicious, especially the beef noodles. There’s a small playground for kids on the lawn, and peacocks, goats, and geese wander around nearby. The hotel is known for its deer, which you can feed with carrots they provide. It’s a bit tucked away, but getting a taxi wasn’t a problem. I used Didi for car hailing. If I come back to Guilin, I’ll stay here again.

Afternoon tea at the cafe in the hotel runs from 1 to 4 p.m. and costs 138 Chinese yuan. It comes with a light lunch, a drink, and a bag of carrots for feeding the deer. The deer are very aggressive, and not as polite as Japanese shika deer.
