Zen Tea House Seven Stars Park

The center of Guilin is a bit of a distance away, but I’d still recommend staying here. It’s good value, with a welcoming atmosphere for families and a cafe that makes good coffee. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly.

Both owners were kind, gave us directions around the area, and even called a taxi, which made for a very relaxing stay. The place was clean and comfortable, near Qixing Park. We walked there early one morning and found it was free for residents, so we could look around without paying an entrance fee. If you’re planning a stroll, keep in mind the gate by the museum near the accommodation opens late; another entrance a little farther away opens early. Breakfast comes in two styles. We chose the local one rather than Western breakfast and tried Guilin Mifen. I had it both days, and it was delicious.
