Our room was knocked on and opened while we were asleep! Luckily, we'd latched the door from inside, so the person couldn't get in. I called the front desk and was told someone had checked us out. What? Does the hotel not verify the room number before checkout and just take a customer's word for it? What if we hadn't latched the door? I can't imagine. This was a clear breach of security and our safety and privacy. The goodwill offered was a breakfast set and a free upgrade on a future stay. We received no compensation. At checkout the next day, we felt deliberately stalled even though we'd told the front desk several times that we urgently needed to get to the airport. Our deposit return was delayed too. The front desk person knew about the incident but acted as if she didn't, and told us to wait for a manager who she said was coming up. We waited 10-15 minutes, but the manager didn't appear. How long does it take to come up? We'd even called beforehand. We ended up going downstairs to meet her. By then our driver was already mad and we had to leave. It didn't feel sincere, or like they cared about service recovery. We definitely won't return to any hotel in the Group. Stay at your own risk. Subpar service.

If you like taking photos for Instagram, the marble and antiquated interiors offer plenty of angles and scenes. The building decor is exquisite, though it can look tired and dated. The first room had its view blocked by a dilapidated building next door, but staff kindly let us move to a higher room. Breakfast was mediocre, mostly carbs upon carbs, with nothing noteworthy. The Langham doesn't occupy the whole building as you might expect. Most of it is offices, and the ground floor and lobby are very small. It feels more like walking into a boutique hotel. At a similar price, I regret choosing this over the nearby Hilton, Westin, or InterContinental. I wouldn't feel bad about it if it weren't branded as a luxury five-star hotel.

The city view from the room was nice. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and very nice, and the staff were helpful.

The room was elegant, clean, and comfortable, with a very nice view. The restaurant had a nice view too. The food quality wasn't so good. We ordered steak through room service and were asked which sauce I wanted, but they forgot the sauce when they delivered it. The steak had no sauce and no seasoning.
