Desti Youth Park Hostel

My stay was November 20-23, 2025, booked through Trip.com at Backpacking for Ten Years Youth Hostel (Hangzhou Wulin Square Chentangqiao Metro Station Branch). The fourth-floor four-person room had plenty of space, lockers, and towels. The bathroom was clean and roomy, and the hairdryer worked well. At check-in, the front desk also gave me water and slippers. Getting there was easy: Chentangqiao Metro Station is a 7-8 minute walk away, and Line 19 goes directly from Xiaoshan Airport. I arrived at noon before check-in, so I used the lobby's free self-service lockers for eight hours. After that, it seemed to cost 0.5 RMB per hour, which is cheap, though you need a mainland China phone number to use them. One nuisance was the bedside outlets. The U-shaped plugs didn't work, and the US-style sockets were finicky, so I had to keep changing the angle to charge. The USB ports worked fine. Shoe cabinets are by the entrance on the fourth floor.

The prices are affordable, the rooms are nice, and the service is attentive. It works really well for students and working professionals.

I found the room comfortable and very nice. The students working there were cheerful, professional, friendly, and ready to help.

Quiet and lovely, the bedroom is a great place to read. I'll come back next time for sure.
