Fiona's Trip Hostel

The bed was warm and it’s a lovely hostel, with a sweet little cafe inside. I’d recommend it if you’re after a few days in the mountains near the tea planting area. To get there, take bus no 7 to Hongcun bride ( near the botanical garden ), then bus number 87 to view the mountain and get off at Manjuelong road station. The hostel is a 5-10 min walk from there. All the staff speak English well.

She made me feel so welcome. I got in really late, and she was still there waiting for me. Her English is very good, so we had no language barrier. The hostel’s a bit away from the main city, but Xihu lake is close enough to walk to. It can be hard to locate, so I’d take a taxi if you reach Hanzhou at night. The facilities are good, though you do get what you pay for. She put on a New Year party for the guests with snacks and wine she made herself. We had a really lovely time, and I won’t forget it. If you want to spend a few days meeting and chatting with people from around the world, this could be a great choice. Thanks so much.

The staff spoke really good English, and the place felt cozy. There’s outdoor seating and even a pool table. Getting out and about was the hard part. For some reason, taxis refused to drive there before 8pm, which was pretty annoying.

It’s in a quiet, green area, and the hostel itself is extremely cozy. I’d definitely recommend it.
