We arrived in the rain, and reception lent out umbrellas for a 50rmb deposit. There’s a karaoke box on the ground floor. Our room had an amazing lake view and all the amenities we needed. Breakfast offered plenty to choose from, mostly Chinese dishes with some western options too.

Most of the rooms look out over Qiandao Lake, with large balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows that give wide views across the water. The hotel is northeast of Daohu Town, with water on three sides and views toward the central lake area. There are several room types, from standard and double rooms to deluxe suites, studios, five-room suites, and cozy apartments. Service was good, the rooms were tidy, and there’s a curved swimming pool as well as a children’s wading pool. Breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant food was quite good. Weekday rates with breakfast are around 550 RMB, rising to over 700 RMB in peak season. The price seemed reasonable, and I’d recommend it.

The free swimming pool was really convenient during my stay at Qiandao Lake. I also loved seeing the beautiful fireworks every night. It was a great stay.
