Hangzhou Xiaoshan People's Square Light Residence Hotel

The air conditioning was noisy, and the soundproofing was terrible. The place felt bad too, with smoke everywhere, even on the non-smoking floor. It's old and poorly maintained. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I've stayed here often because it offers good value. Lots of tour groups stay here too. They recently renovated part of the hotel, and I added three photos from my latest visits. I also had dinner in the Chinese restaurant, which was actually not bad. Delicious! (Comment from 2018)

It's in the middle of a commercial area, easy to reach by bus, metro, or taxi. There are 25 floors with about 20 rooms on each, so it seems suitable for booking any time of year. The rooms are wide, prices are good, and there's a swimming pool, gym, massage, parking, laundry, and free breakfast. It's usually clean, and the service is professional. They keep learning. I stayed in 2017, then returned the next year in 2018, when they had added a special food table for Muslims. Other things are at your own expense.

The hotel is very old and the quality is poor. The breakfast was among the worst I've had in China. Other hotels offer much better quality.
