HanTing Premium Hotel (Hangzhou Xihu Broken Bridge)

The breakfast stood out most for me. On the morning of the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, my husband and I were told the restaurant had a wait. I really dislike waiting, but the young man at the entrance greeted us first and was polite and helpful. He took our room number and then led us to… We were in Hangzhou for the Chinese New Year holiday, when many hotels were fully booked. A friend had told me about Hangzhou Yi Hotel, and it lived up to what I’d heard. The room felt cozy and spacious, with a modern design, and the staff were enthusiastic. There may not have been many staff working during the holiday, but the service still didn’t fall short.

The hotel is right by West Lake and the musical fountain, with shopping and plenty of restaurant choices nearby. I booked a lake view room, and the location was just perfect. The five-star service was attentive and courteous. The downside is that some of the facilities feel dated and could use an update.
