The lobby has a simple, modern look, and I liked the big windows that make it feel open. It was clean, and they even offer tea there, a nice touch. The breakfast area is comfortable too, with large windows and a peaceful feel. I could sit with coffee for half the morning. My daughter enjoyed the noodle soup. I was dieting, so I just had fruit and tea, but still enjoyed sitting there. We paid only 420 RMB for the room without breakfast. What a find! The room was airy with a lovely view when I opened the curtains. The mattress was comfortable, pillows soft, the comforter not too hot, and the air conditioning strong. Everything felt new and clean, with no smell at all. I especially appreciated the separate vanity table, which was handy for women. I’d driven 2.5 hours from Suzhou to Hangzhou to see Master Zhao, the number one bone-setting master in my heart, at #OneHandsBlindMassage, and booked two nights. We got to the hotel after 10 pm, and the warm, welcoming receptionist upgraded our room. It’s about a 10-minute drive to Zhejiang University, around 15 minutes to the Grand Canal, and 10-15 minutes to the massage parlor I wanted to visit. Very convenient.
