Reception were really helpful, and the basic little single room had everything I needed at a good price. The location couldn’t be better, making it a perfect place to stay. A tip for Western travelers in China: set up Alipay on your phone before you arrive. It’s incredibly handy for payments, since Western credit cards often don’t work. You might also want roaming data or a Chinese eSIM sorted before entering China. Otherwise, getting online can be difficult. Even the WiFi was impossible for me to use without a Chinese phone number.
