Dayang Hotel

The host was really nice, and the location was great. I liked it a lot.

The rooms feel quite dated, even though the hotel is very near the city center. Right next door there's a popular restaurant, always busy, where the food is tasty and reasonably priced.

From the breakfast to the small practical things, there are a few annoyances: the meals are repetitive and not especially appealing even to Chinese guests, morning tea can be hard to get, and napkins are nearly absent whatever the bar's standard. Still, the place itself is quite decent and dignified, right in historic central Harbin. Outside, a man sometimes turns up by the flea market in the morning, riding a bike, striking a cane against a basin and shouting, while bonfires appear at the intersection in the evenings.
