The location is what makes this place for me. Chung-Ang University is right next door, and Hongju-an Morning Market is an easy five-minute walk, so I went there every day. The lobby and corridors are enormous, almost continental in scale, but the place is hard to pin down as either a hotel or residence-style accommodation, and I had concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. Two female receptionists are always around, though they don't speak English and show their frustration, so they don't come across as friendly. I do wonder when they get to sleep or rest. Asking for a non-smoking room seems pointless. How much extra are the smoking rooms?

The location was easy to find, with convenient transport. It's on Xibadao Street, turn left for Central Avenue and right for Shangzhi Avenue. I paid 400 yuan for a business king room, which was quite spacious, but the carpet wasn't very clean and the room felt somewhat old. They said check-in was possible at 11 am, yet I arrived at 8 am and got in without a problem. I was just gutted to see it listed much cheaper on Dianping than on Qunar.
