The hotel listed here doesn't exist. There is another hotel, but it isn't covered by Hotels.com. I booked and paid, yet there was no way to get the room. Watch out.

At just $30, this was a great deal for a solo traveler. A TripAdvisor member had recommended it, and I found the Ibis hotel very close to the center. I stayed four nights, and the place was clean and comfortable. The sightseeing bus from the hotel to the ice sculpture exhibition cost 200 RMB. Visiting the exhibition in Harbin made for an unforgettable experience, though it was definitely cold. A once-in-a-lifetime trip for me.

There are shopping malls close by, and getting around is easy with plenty of different vehicles available. The facilities are basic and feel a bit dated. Since it's in the city center, the air quality is so-so. At night, there was some noise, mostly from the air conditioner.
