The staff were friendly, and the room was nice with a good breakfast. The female employee at the check-in counter had a somewhat surprising sense of style. Jungang Avenue (main street) is a 10-minute walk from the subway station, and the hotel is right by the Songhua River, a lovely spot for a stroll.

It's not far from the pedestrian street, which is convenient. The hotel feels high-end for Harbin, with a nice environment. Breakfast on the first floor was delicious and had a good range of Chinese and Western options.

I only stayed at Home Inn once, on a trip to Xiamen, and hadn't compared it with other places at first. The walls had lovely colors, and everything felt warm and very clean. For the same price, it seemed a little better than other hotels. I had a very good stay.
