That heat was the one thing we couldn't get comfortable with. The room temperature couldn't be adjusted, and it was so warm that we didn't sleep well. We even left the windows ajar, but the room still wouldn't cool down. Funny to be struggling with the outdoor cold and then feeling too hot inside 😬 Getting around wasn't a problem since cabs are cheap, though the hotel isn't an easy walk from the train station in -30°C weather. The gym had enough equipment for a good workout, and we looked forward to the tasty, nourishing soup at breakfast every morning. It was our first trip somewhere this cold, and the staff made us feel welcome both before heading outdoors and when we came back. They were empathetic and helpful, with warm hospitality, welcome gifts, useful advice on activities and dressing for the cold, and plenty of smiles. A 4/5 stay for us :)

The shower's coldest setting was still 27 degrees Celsius. What a joke. The central heater also kept the room at 27 degrees, and all they could offer was a small fan. I guess the staff must feel cozy. I arrived with two large suitcases. There were two receptionists and no other guests at the desk, but they watched me struggle with the two doors that are hard to move. Try another hotel. If Marriott can't handle something this basic, imagine what the others are like. Don't come here!

I had three children and seven suitcases with me, and we had to carry all the luggage ourselves. The staff kept saying there wasn't much they could do. There is no air conditioning in winter, the heater is centrally controlled, and the windows are sealed. Our room was 27-30°C. Please think carefully before booking.

I had a great time at this hotel in Harbin. The staff's hospitality was exceptional, especially for someone who doesn't speak Mandarin. Thanks to them.

We had a great stay in a calm, relaxing place that works well for families. The breakfast had a good range, so everyone could find something they liked. It was clean and welcoming, and the staff went out of their way to help. A real plus for me: unlike many hotels in China, this one didn't smell like cigarettes. Great service all around. Highly recommend.
