It’s an impressive, spacious mall, but the taxi drivers waiting outside are dishonest. Most refuse to use the meter and charge a fixed rate instead. From what I heard from locals, that’s illegal, and tourists can file an official complaint with the company. Something needs to be done, because this is spoiling Harbin’s experience for visitors.

Tarunpa Mart on the basement level is a great spot to shop, and there are good places to grab a bite too. The building is clean, though this Wanda Plaza is relatively small.

Business is bleak and struggling with the economic downturn, which is really lamentable. Wanda Plazas bring shopping, dining, and retail shops together, and now most major cities in China have one or even several. This one feels rather deserted now.
